I am a deep listener and very intuitive. I promise to be kind and attentive, while offering my skills to support your sacred unfolding.
I am an integrative therapist with training in Somatic Psychotherapy with an emphasis on healing from early attachment wounding and trauma. I see individuals, couples and help people with their challenging family dynamics.
Training:
I received my Master’s degree in Somatic Psychotherapy from CIIS in 2006. I have been licensed since 2009.
I have completed the Level 1 and 2 training in Sensorimotor Psychotherapy. This body-oriented, mindfulness modality is phenomenal at relieving the symptoms of PTSD, as well as, anxiety, depression, addiction, stress, and relationship issues.
I am in ongoing consultation with Dr. Janina Fisher who has developed a Structural Dissociation Model that supports clients in having a deep sense of internal compassion and inner understanding that creates phenomenal change in my clients lives. It is truly transformative.
I believe that developing and maintaining a kinship with Nature is crucial for the overall well-being of ourselves as individuals as well as for all our relations. Therefore, I often bring Nature as a teacher into my sessions. I have spent the last 20 years studying California cultural and natural history and the learning is endless. I received my BA in Environmental Studies from UCSC in 1997.
My life outside of therapy:
I am excited to be of service in my community. I am happily married and a proud mom to my son. In my free time, I love to garden, sing, go hiking, cook, weave and spend time with friends and family. I am in ongoing therapy, so I am on the other side of this vulnerable equation which keeps me honest and growing.
